Last month (February) Edie and Lisa met up with the team from Birchall Blackburn Law to discuss HIP's plans for 2018 and hopefully secure support for the coming year.
Well, we're happy to report that it was a very positive meeting and Birchall Blackburn Law has committed to supporting HIP throughout 2018. We have worked with the solicitor's firm for a number of years and we're delighted that they are keen to keep on supporting us.
We met Quentin Underhill and Stuart Hughes at The Macdonald Portal Hotel, Golf and Spa, in Tarporley. The venue was chosen because it has a championship golf course and we would like to hold our new Corporate Golf Day here to raise funds for HIP and awareness of our work. Birchall Blackburn Law has sponsored our annual ball the past two years and we're delighted to confirm they will be doing the same for our golf day.
Quentin, partner and head of serious injury at Birchall Blackburn Law, said: "The members and volunteers of HIP in Cheshire are an incredible and inspiring group of people striving to live life to the full despite life changing head injuries. We're really impressed with HIP's plans and ambitions for this year's events and it's an honour to be in a position to continue to support all your hard work.
"It's also exciting to be part of a growing team of HIP supporters with Irwin Mitchell and Prodo Digital. The more companies and organisations that get behind HIP the more help the charity can give to brain injury people who otherwise might be isolated and struggling."
The HIP in Cheshire Corporate Golf Day will be held at the end of June and we will confirm further details soon. And of course, the team at Birchall Blackburn Law will be shampooing their colourful wigs ready to take part in our Mad Hair Day during Action for Brain Injury Awareness Week in May.
