Visit from Justin Madders MP: Raising Awareness of Brain Injury Issues
We extended an invitation to Justin Madders MP, who represents Ellesmere Port and Bromborough, to join us at our Ellesmere coffee morning. Our intention was to provide him with a clearer understanding of the challenges faced by individuals living with brain injuries. We wanted him to appreciate the impact that such conditions have not only on many of his own constituents, but also on people across the country.
During his visit, we encouraged our members to share their personal experiences, discussing the daily hurdles they encounter. These conversations covered the difficulties in accessing appropriate support—whether social, housing, or financial. Through this open dialogue, we aimed to highlight the pressing need for better resources and assistance for those affected by brain injury.
We hope that our discussions proved compelling enough to influence Mr Madders to advocate for improved support and recognition of disability issues, not only in our local community but also in Westminster. By raising these matters directly with our MP, we aspire to contribute to broader awareness and positive change for people living with disabilities.
