Canal Boat Day Out

HIP Members had a relaxing day on the "Mary Sunley" Canal boat.
Trevor our skipper took us on a trip from Higher Poynton to Marple . We couldn't have had a more perfect day for the trip, a gentle breeze and bright blue skies.
The boat was comfortable and well equipped for us all, we putted along at a leisurely 4mph , taking in the wildlife which was in abundance. We saw so many goslings and several Storks on the banks of the canal.
We stopped for Fish and Chips at Marple, I have to say there really is no better smell than fish and chips, we all enjoyed our lunch on the boat, before turning round to go back to Poynton.
