On Thursday 19th April 2018, HIP in Cheshire was invited to attend Redshift Radio's Spring Community Expo at Rookery Hall in Nantwich. The Spring Community Expo was a networking event involving an array of businesses from across Cheshire, giving HIP the chance to spread the word about who we are.

The Spring Community Expo was on a glorious sunny April day. Regardless, organisations from across Cheshire, including HIP, made their way to Rookery Hall for Redshift Radio's Spring Community Expo. The day was set to offer a chance for local businesses, charities and freelancers to mingle, as well as a few talks hosted by a number of companies.

HIP in Cheshire had a stall at the event. This was great in allowing us to promote our charity, as well as our Mad Hair Day, which is happening on Friday 18th May, and our Golf Day, which is taking place on Thursday 28th June. You can find more information about Mad Hair Day on the following link (, and the Golf Day on this link (. If you know anyone, who would be keen to get involved in these events, please do let the HIP team know by calling us on 01244-650522, or emailing us on info@hipincheshire.org.uk.

At the event, a couple of HIP volunteers were also able to join us and share what HIP does with people attending the expo. Our volunteers did a fantastic job of chatting to those, who visited the HIP stall, and promoting HIP in Cheshire.

Luckily, the HIP volunteers, as well as the HIP team, were able to take a break from networking with a lovely lunch provided by Rookery Hall.

The day concluded with a speed networking activity, which allowed all the different organisations to swap their details and see how they could help each other grow.

Although most people would have preferred soaking up the sunshine that day, the day was really positive and allowed HIP to make more contacts across Cheshire. The HIP team couldn't have taken the day on without the help of the HIP volunteers, who did a wonderful job of promoting our organisation. Given the success of the day, HIP looks forward to making the most of the connections we made at the event, and seeing more support for HIP across the region!
